|
SUZUKI INTELLIGENT RIDE SYSTEM (SIRS)Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) is a system that better supports the rider in matching performance to the riding conditions, surface or preferred riding style. For the V-STROM 1050DE, emphasis is on riding unpaved roads, so SIRS offers terrain-specific features.
|
THE V-STROM DL1050DE CHASSISThe V-STROM 1050DE Adventure has custom chassis geometry with a longer rake and wheelbase to improve stability and controllability when riding on unpaved surfaces. The twin-spar aluminum alloy frame has updated seat rails that better support the input load from unpaved terrain. With fully adjustable KYB inverted front forks and adjustable link-type rear suspension, the ride is smooth, controllable, agile and stable. For sure stopping power and controllability, V-STROM 1050DE has four-piston radial-mount front brake callipers mated with 310mm floating-mount dual discs. |
V-STROM 1050DE ELECTRONIC FEATURES
V-STROM 1050DE Adventure features a new 5-inc colour TFT LCD multi-function instrument panel with both day and night visibility features for easy operability in all light conditions. A USB port is built into the left side of the meter cluster and a 12V DC outlet is supplied under the seat to charge devices. LED LIGHTING It also features full LED lighting with both the front stacked headlight for a clear view of what’s ahead, along with compact LED position lights, turn signals and tail light to ensure visibility. |
STCS - Suzuki Traction Control SystemSuzuki’s traction control system continuously monitors front and rear wheel speeds, throttle position sensor, crank position sensor and gear position sensor, and quickly reduces engine output when wheel spin is detected. Engine output is controlled by managing ignition timing and air delivery to ensure smoother traction control operation. As a result, the rider can enjoy more comfortable long-distance riding, with less stress and fatigue. |
SDMS - Suzuki Drive Mode SelectorSuzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) system allows the rider to select one of three fuel injection and ignition system maps (2 maps in the case of GSX-R750/600), adjusting power delivery to suit personal preference in various riding situations, such as different racetracks or tight, twisty roads. Selecting and switching between mode settings is by a switch on the handlebar; the selected mode setting is displayed on the tachometer. The feature helps the rider to enjoy the performance in a wider range of riding situations. * The technology is used in GSX-R1000, 750, 600, DL1050 and Hayabusa. |
Easy Start SystemOn a normal motorcycle when starting the engine, the rider needs to press and hold the starter switch until the engine fires up. With the Suzuki Easy Start, all you need to do is one quick push of the starter switch, just like starting a modern car engine. The ECM recognizes the signals and keeps the starter motor working for a specified time. |
Low RPM AssistLow RPM Assist uses the ISC mechanism to help raise engine rpm slightly in launching and riding at low speed. This feature helps smoother operation when pulling away and when riding at slow speeds, this means it’s easier to pull away and easier to control the engine in stop-start traffic. |
BI-DIRECTIONAL QUICK SHIFT SYSTEMBi-Directional Quick Shift System lets you shift up or down without the need to operate the clutch or throttle for seamless shifting. When activated, Quick Shift automatically interrupts power delivery just long enough to produce smoother, almost uninterrupted acceleration when you shift up. When decelerating, the system automatically opens the throttle valves just enough to increase rpm and match engine speed to the next-lower gear ratio. |
RIDE BY WIRE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE SYSTEMNot only is this new cable-free system simpler, lighter and more compact than a mechanical throttle, it provides light, natural, linear response to throttle operation. Precision control over throttle valve action, as realized by leveraging the onboard 32-bit ECM, also makes it possible to introduce other advanced systems that enhance riding ease and controllability. |
Gravel ModeAdds a new gravel mode to Suzuki Traction Control System help riders more confidently navigate gravel roads. |
2-Mode ABSAllows the rider to shift between two levels of ABS intervention. Mode 1 provides minimal intervention, while Mode 2 intervenes more proactively. |
Rear ABS Off ModeAllows the rider to switch off rear ABS for improved performance on gravel and other unpaved surfaces. |
